Starman was made in Vinalles, Cuba in 2001. This is first photo I sold at twenty three years old thanks to Erin Martin who had the original three printed on silver gelatin paper in New York City.
Starman was a tobacco farmer who invited me into his home. We spent the afternoon together and outside by his starfruit tree.
Hanging in the living room of the homestead. I swear the fruit move ever so subtly at night.
This is a good luck image.
Print on canvas fabric, seamed edge & hung with a simple wooden dowel.
59 × 89 inches
